Is Sales Analysis 8.1B compartable with Receivables 9.0B? I'm asking because on Sunday October 10, I upgraded Receivables to version 9.0B and since then all my reports in Sales Analysis 8.1B are no longer producing the usual information.

For example, I have a sales report which produces a month to date summary of sales, cost of sales, and margin by category. I have about 51 categories. However on Monday October 11, when I printed the report only one (1) category was printed which was the last category in the list showing the total sales, cost of sales and margin for all the categories. I printed this report on Friday October 9, and the information was correct.

We also use Inventory Version 8.1C, Order Entry Version Version 8.1C.

Hi Ruth,

According to the Compatibility Chart and the module's Readme file - Yes, SalesAnalysis 8.1B is compatible with Receivables 9.0B.

I don't believe there was any data conversion in moving from AR 9.0A to 9.0B, whereas there was significant data conversion if you were moving from an 8.1A release.

It would be interesting to know if you were upgrading from AR 9.0A or an earlier version of AR like 8.1A ?

Does the data for both modules pass the DI check ?

Regards, Pete

Hi Peter

Thanks for your response.

I converted AR from V9.0A to V9.0B. Sales Analysis passed the DI test, however I will be doing a DI test for AR this evening.

Ruth

Hi Ruth,

Is your Sales Report something custom created in either GridView or Crystal Reports for Adagio? Or an online inquiry within Sales Analysis. That might help in knowing where to go next. Perhaps something was purged, or a selection criteria or filter is based on something that changed.

Installing Receivables 9.0B should not have affected anything in Sales Analysis, based on coming from version 9.0A as Peter suggested, presuming that everything worked while A/R version 9.0A was in place.

You may end up needing to have your Adagio consultant take a look, especially if your Sales Report is a custom report.

The report is a custom report in online inquiry Sales Analysis which was created by me. The installation of Receivables 9.0B from 9.0A went smoothly with no problems.

No changes were made to the Sales Analysis report The report was last used on Friday October 8, and I did the upgrade to Receivables v9.0B from v9.0A on Sunday October 10, (Offices were closed on friday October 8, and opened on Monday October 11)and then on Monday October 11 the problem with the report was noticed.

Receivables V9.0A worked fine, no problems whatsoever.

Hi, Ruth,

Thank you for reporting this issue. When I use AR9.0B with SR8.1B and using sample data, I can duplicate this problem and I will report it to R&D for you.

I've been working with a client who has a YTD customer sales inquiry (using SR8.1B) that formerly showed 200+ customers but is now only showing 20. Odd thing is the total seems to be about right.

Hope a fix is coming soon!

Hi, Ryan,

It's possible that the online inquiry has changed or that only 20 customers now meet the criteria. In anything I've seen so far, all customers or categories that meet the criteria are reported in the Details window. Within the Summary window, only the first customer or category in the range specified is reported.

You can email me if you need me to look into this further for you for this client.

I believe it's the summary that is the issue. Multiple customers' details are being rolled together into common summaries. I'll admit to an incomplete understanding of how SR is supposed to work, but I thought that a field marked as "summarize by" would receive subtotals of the amount/qty fields? I don't understand why the summary would only show the first customer or category, if that is the field you're looking to "summarize by"?

When you drill into the details, the heading seems to indicate that you are looking at a single customer, while the details include multiple. Here's a screenshot from sample data:

Thanks,
