Hi All,

What other modules lock up the GL data? I'm trying to do a backup - no one else is in the GL - but there are a lot of people in other modules (OE, IC, POs, AR, AP, F9, BR, MC).

The files that didn't back up are:
File in use ... GLDATA.ACW
File in use ... GLDATAI.ACW
File in use ... GLDATAI2.ACW
File in use ... GLDATE'I.ACW
File in use ... GLFSET'1.ACW
File in use ... GLFSET'2.ACW
File in use ... GLFSET'R.ACW
File in use ... GLGLOB.ACW
File in use ... GLGROUP.ACW
File in use ... ASP/MCCODES.LD4

Or does everyone need to be out of all modules for the GL backup to work (I'm just trying to backup the ledger data, not the complete dataset).

It's hit or miss if users have other modules open. From my experience, if they've simply left the modules open, you should get a clean backup. But if they're entering batches (specifically those that have GL Acct selections - AR cash, AP chq, etc.) you're likely to get blocked from making backups.
