I am trying to print a report in gridview using Inventory records. Report contains the fields Item #, Pic and Qty on Hand. I am noticing that the results in the "Qty on Hand" field contain only the quantity on hand for "Lot 1". Am I choosing the wrong field? How do I get the total Qty on Hand?

(I can put in the quantity in each lot separately, but I really just need the total Qty on Hand.

The field you put in your GridView report is actually the Qty of Lot 1, not the total qty. There in fact is no stored value for Total Qty in the database, which is why you cannot see it in the list of fields.

What you need to do is create a Calculated Column and sum all 5 of the qty lots to arrive at the total Qty on Hand.

Thank you for answering the question. It would seem there should be a stored value for Total Qty or at least there should not be Qty on Hand as well as Qty Lot 1 as it is misleading. Can we submit that for the next update.

Your request is noted. For historical and compatibility reasons, we can't do this right now, but it may be possible in the future when those compatibility reasons are no longer required.
