I am trying to add a new account set but when I go to the edit box the "new" tab is not available. I am signed on as the system administrator with full access. What am I doing wrong?

There is a maximum of 20 account sets that are definable. How many do you have? Do you need more than 20 and if so, why?

The previous controller changed the system and we have a number of account sets that are 'defunct". I assumed that we couldn't change them, but if we can just change the existing ones, we only need around 12. Is there any reason not to edit an old set?

Further to that. The "defunct" account sets were set up with moving average and we want user specified. The costing method field is not editable on the account set window so those accounts can't be used as far as I can see.

Hi Sammy,

What version of Adagio Inventory are you using? If the most current version 8.1B then you can edit the costing method of a control account set and push the change to all items attached to it. If you are using an older version, this process is not possible. I strongly recommend making a backup of your data prior to making any costing method changes.

If you attempt to delete a control account set for which items are attached to, you will be prevented from deleting. You are able to delete unattached control account sets. I recommend making a backup of your data prior to deleting any records, just in case.

Thanks. I will check to make sure we are current on the version. After making a back up I will see if any of the account sets are able to be deleted.
