AR - Export Addresses

What is the easiest way to export all customers and all of their addresses, including those who have multiple shipping addresses? We need to import these details periodically to our courier database so that we are shipping to accurate and up-to-date addresses with all the current information that we maintain in Adagio Receivables. Should we export the Contacts/Ship to selecting all customers and then export Customers with the same fields, then combine the 2 spreadsheets?

Hi Susan, The easiest way to export would be to link with Gridview to select the fields with the customer number in both AR for the customer bill to addresses, and also within OE for the ship to addresses.
Alternatively, Stief Group has developed and is distributing a new shipping interface from Adagio Order Entry called Ship2Link for Adagio. It takes all of the order details (or invoice details) including billing names, and addresses, Ship to Addresses, and all line item details into your shippers/carrier's solution upon demand, and writes back the tracking number and shipping costs (if desired) to your customer's invoice in Adagio. We have installed and it currently interfaces continuously with our client's UPS' shipping solution, and we are currently working on the other courier company solutions. Let us know what courier company or shipping interface you need, and perhaps we could do that as well. If you need the same type of information from Orders but need a complete interface with any carriers, including customs broker HTS codes, NAFTA certificates, complete Bills of Lading and Proforma invoices for international shipping, we also have another solution called TranSendIT. This will also interface with various courier companies for shipping label production but is of primary benefit for clients that want to automate their shipping at the loading dock, and want better pricing from their customs brokers. It is used for both domestic and international shipping, and for clients that do their own freight shipping. TranSendit can interface from any accounting platform, and one of our Adagio has been using TranSendIt for over 2 years.
Either way, we can assist with your shipping solutions.
Let me know if you need any details on either of these products. 800-540-3164 Regards, Brian

Hi Susan,
You can create these exports quickly using SmartFinder. To select all record choose "cust # not equal blank".

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the reply. Gridview is a good idea that I never thought of (glad I posted the question now).
We are using mainly Purolator and occasionally Canpar to some areas. We used to use UPS years ago but now we get better rates from the other carriers. We only ship in Canada. We include the email addresses in our shipping databases so that the customers are automatically sent a tracking number via email upon shipment (therefore less phone calls from customers wanting to know if their order has ben shipped).
Ship2Link sounds interesting!

For clarification, is there any way to create one Gridview report that can be exported to excel that contains all of the customers in AR and all of the ship to addresses in OE or do I have to create two Gridviews and combine them manually in Excel?
I ultimately want a list of all customers with their default shipping address plus any other shipping addresses they may have.

Hi Susan,
Unless EVERY customer has at least one ship to address, you'll have to use two separate Views and combine them in Excel. If you know that there is at least one ship to address for each customer, then you could use a composite View that combines the ship to information with the AR information. That composite View should be with the other tables in the AR 9.0 tables.
OK?

Many customers do not have a ship to addresses in which case OE automatically defaults to the billing address for both billing and shipping. I guess I will have to make 2 Gridviews and combine.

The OE Table "Ship to Addresses Master" doesn't break down City and Province. Is there a table that does?
