The Detail Listing report I ran before upgrading from Ledger 9.0A to 9.0B does not agree with the same report run after the upgrade.

In this case I am reporting on the Retained Earnings account. Before upgrade, the report showed the Opening Balance was 0 and the Balance was x. After upgrade the Opening Balance AND the Balance are now the same x. This results in the report total being double what it was previously.

Was there a change to the report?

I hope I have explained this clearly.

Does your Trial Balance balance? Are you excluding any inactive accounts? Have you opened your new year since you last ran this report?

Having asked all this, nothing should have changed on this report between upgrades.

The Trial Balance is balanced.

To prove my point I have re-installed Ledger 9.0A on a laptop and ran the report against the same dataset. The 9.0A report is showing a correct account balance. The 9.0B report is showing the balance doubled. There is only one account (retained earnings) involved here. There are no current year transactions, only Special Postings for Previous Year.

Would you e-mail me a Zip of the data so that we can take a look?

We've identified what was happening and thi report will be fixed in a future Service Pack. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Interestingly, the problem existed in the 9.0A release, but did not manifest itself with your particular set of data.

Hi John,

This error has been fixed in the recently released service pack to Adagio Ledger V9.0B.

The service pack also allows you to open the account inquiry on start up, fixes a cursor positioning error when deleting a transaction from a batch and activates the Find function when F5 is pressed on the View Accounts grid. If you are using Excel 2007, sending transaction or account information to Excel using the ExcelDirect button now results in the automatic creation of an Excel "List".
