We just closed the April 30 year-end. When I was trying to generate the last year report, I realized it did not have the year for me to change which is different as the Ledger 9.0. Is there anyway to change the year?

Hi Mavis,

There is no Fiscal Year selection within the Financial Reporter for Adagio FX. In order to see amounts for the prior fiscal year, you need to use field codes that look at the prior year amounts instead of the current year. For example, instead of using 'Y' for the current year to day, use 'LYY' for the prior year YTD.

You probably will want to save an existing financial statement as a new file, particular to the prior year, and change the field codes.

1. How can I change from "as of April 30, 2010" to "April 30, 2009" about the following fomula?

2. Which field code I should use for the prior year current period budget?

Prior year budgets are not maintained in Adagio FX. If you want this information, you really need to be using the Financial Reporter in Adagio Ledger 90A and not Adagio FX. What feature in Adagio FX do you need that leads you to run reports here instead of from Ledger? Of course there are good ones - just wondering which one is yours.

If you have a backup copy of last years GL90A data prior to closing the year, you can retrieve it to Adagio FX and append it the existing retrieved data for your current year. This would mean giving both years an identifier in the Department field when retrieving.

Mine is Ledger 9.0A. I know I can do it there. However, this report combined two company data. That is why I need to use FX.

FX Pro can Import Budgets.
Once you have retrieved the combined company data and are satisfied that you have what you need then you can create an Excel spreadsheet to import your Budgets into the Current Year of FX and use the .B identifier to show the Full Year Budget

You can do what you want to do but it requires a work around. The way we can do it will also allow you to historically report any fiscal year with budgets intact.
