Hello there,

I'm sure there is a simple answer to this question, but I can't find it. When users log in through remote desktop to our 2003 server to run the latest POA it will not run, and stops with a message that we must have a profile set up and to use the mail icon in the control panel to do that. I have done that in a couple of cases, using a dummy profile setup, however it requires this for all users. Is there a way to turn this off on the server for TS users?

Thanks.

Mike

Hi Mike

For what it's worth, I faced the same issue (I can't remember if it was same exact error message but something similar), and was forced to restore the previous version of Purchase Orders.

Actually it's a bit more complicated. They use a 2008 server with Vista for everything BUT PO. They are waiting for PO to work with Vista before disconnecting their 2003 Server. Unfortunately, when I installed the latest PO upgrade, which should have been Vista compatible, it would irregularly fail to launch. Tech support is unable to help at this time because it is too sporadic for them to troubleshoot. I am hoping that others have experienced this. I don't have any other PO users running Vista.

Steve

Hi, Mike,

I'm forwarding you a file via email that can be imported to the registry that could help you out.

Hi:

I had a similar situation where this happened when logging on the Terminal Server as Administrator. There was no email set up in the Admin's account. However, when other users logged on to the Terminal Server, this error did not appear. The IT person explained to me that only a user without email setup would get this message.

In any event, I would appreciate a copy of this file as well in case another situation like this appears.
