We converted our Accpac data to Adagio in December. I recently tried to run Adagio A/P year end processing (yes I'm behind in my work - so still using Accpac in a long parallel).

Halfway though the process the system stopped. I waited 20 minutes and had to restart my computer. The period to date totals were set to zero and the paid transactions were cleared. However, the batch status info was not cleared nor has the history been cleared.

So I'm halfway through the year end processing. What to do? If I rerun the process, will it know that it's completing the 2008 close, or will it do the 2009 close? A clue may be that when trying to print out a vendor transaction list, the last vendor would not print. I welcome your suggestions.

Tom

Hi Tom

When the system crashes in the middle of running AP year-end, this is a situation that BEGS for restoring from a backup and trying again. You will almost definitely have a big mess on your hands if you try to re-run year-end on the same data, and I wouldn't be surprised if the data is corrupted.

Next time, run year-end on a copy of the data on drive C. If you lost patience after 20 minutes and restarted your computer, and you are on a network, you might have caused the problem yourself. On a C drive, processing will be 10 times faster and you surely won't have to wait 20 minutes.
