We entered a PO using location "WA". When we received the product we received it to location "KI" because that's where the product physically arrived. Now in IC Quanties, it shows -100 on PO at "KI" location and +100 at "WA". How do we wash this out? I am unable to edit the location on the original PO. I also cannot edit the receipt which has already been invoiced. Please advise. Thanks.

All I do is a stock transfer from one location to the other in IC to clear out my negitives. I'm not sure if that's the answer you're looking for but that's how I've always cleared them out.

What probably should be done is although the PO has to have the location shown on the header (pg 1) as where the PO orginated the buyer should key in the location as the alternate location on the detailed section for each item if not being rec'd at the orginators location. You maybe also able to edit each items location when receiving the goods.

Try making a backup, running dayend processing in PO, and then running Data Integrity Check in PO. It should detect these incorrect quantities and offer to fix them.

I agree what should have happened is the original PO should have been changed to the location that the product would later be received at. However, it's too late to fix that now. I don't see how a stock transfer can change the "QTY On PO". I can move the "QTY on Hand" from one location to another with a stock transfer, but not a "QTY on PO".

I have DataCare on a schedule to run Integrity Checks including POA File Check every night. Would that be the same as running Integrity Check in PO? If so, it hasn't fixed the incorrect quantities on PO.

Hi Susan,

The DataCare check of POA only does the File Check. Running the DIC within the program wil also do the "Application Check". This will fix the "on PO" quatities in Inventory.

BTW, Why can't we run POA Application Checks with Data Care? The check box is disabled. Is this something that will be available in the next DataCare release?

It's something that has to be added in the POA release (but hasn't been yet).

POA integrity check fixed the -QTY on PO and +QTY on PO. Thanks.
