We are adding a formula to an existing statement.
The formula is a very basic SUM formula.
=SUM(D40..D109)
But when we switch to any other period or perform another calculation, the formula re-writes itself to something like =SUM(D110..D179).

The client is runing Ledger Version 9.0a (080122).

How do we keep the formula from rewriting itself? (Why is this happening?)

Are there any ".Range" commands above the =SUM()? These may be adding rows.

Use the SUM button on the toolbar to explicitly add the cell together you want. Make sure the sheet is collapsed when entering the formula.
