Our company has the Bank Rec module, which interfaces with Paybles. We have discovered an error in our work.

We entered a cheque in A/P. It posted perfectly fine. I can see it in A/P, and I can see it crediting our clearing account.

I see no debit in the clearing account, nor do I see the cheque in the Bank Rec module. The only conclusion I can come to is that it was deleted as a batch when it was retrieved to the Bank Rec module.

My question is this: Is there a way to disable the ability to delete batches? I would still want users to have the ability to enter batches, just not delete them. Is this a possibility? I checked profile, and I checked user set ups, but did not see where I can change this.

There is an option in the Company Profile to allow/disallow a user from editing a retrieved batch. However, there isn't one to disallow deleting a retrieved batch.

I can certainly add this as a suggestion for R&D though.

That would be wonderful. I guess that would be very much down the road though.

In the meantime, I could put a very limited access to BR in place, IF we were to go back to running deposits through AR again. How close is the new AR?

We've been running AR 9.0 in house for a couple of weeks, and are showing our Partners the release tomorrow afternoon, with what we hope will be our final beta available for their perusal.

I hope that you'll be seeing the modules begin to ship over the next few weeks. It's a big effort to get all these modules out the door at once. Unfortunately, sites will need to wait until we have shipped all the modules they are using before they will be able to make the move.

We're hoping that people will make some time to read the release note and check out items that are important to them. Unlike previous changes to the Adagio modules, this upgrade is pretty significant in the number of inter-related modules it affects (Ledger, JobCost, Invoices, OrderEntry, SalesAnalysis, Inventory, SalesCQ, BankRec and Time&Billing).
