Hi Eva,
If Year End is listing that a posting journal needs to be printed (and purged), this means that the data file has a file size greater than zero bytes. But if you attempt to print the report and get a message that there is nothing to print, this means that the data file has gotten out of synch with the stored posting sequences in the system.
The usual solution in this case is to rename the particular posting journal files. All APPOST??.dat data files should have a file size of zero. For example, the invoice posting journal is APPOSTI.dat.
A second but less likely scenario is that the file name above was renamed instead of printing and purging the report. This would be the scenario if you choose to print the posting journal and get to the screen that shows you can print from posting sequence X to Y, but when you click the Print or Preview button, a message appears that there is nothing to print. The solution in this case is to create and post another batch of that type (for 0.00 or 0.01 - just as long as something posts), and then you will be able to print all sequences and purge everything.
