I am trying to copy an order from Customer A to Customer B. I want the quantities from Customer A's order to appear in Customer B's order, but I want Customer B to get their (lower) prices.
Here's what I do...
1) highlight the order for Customer A
2) select 'COPY'
3) Change customer to Customer B & select ship to
4) CHECK 'Update item information & pricing'
5) CHECK 'Set quantity ordered to original order'
6) UN-CHECK 'Set quantity shipped to quantity ordered'
7) select 'OK'
When I do this, I get a new order for Customer B with Customer A's pricing. I tried this several times, changing step #4 above to both UN-CHECK and CHECK. Both results were the same.
Any ideas?
Thanks-
Todd

Hi Todd,

Are you using special price lists for each customer? How would the pricing for customer 'B' differ from that for customer 'A'?

Hi Todd,

I see that in a couple of scenarios with OE81B, copying an order for a new customer does not update the pricing. One scenario was that customer B had a different alternative price list. Another scenario was that customer B had a different customer level that invoked a different price.

From the question above, how specifically are prices determined and differentiated between your 2 customers?

No. In this case Customer A gets 'Base' pricing, whereas Customer B gets 20.22% off as a 'C' level customer.

FYI, here's a screenshot of the settings: http://clip2net.com/page/m0/315939

Different price levels, as described above. Isn't that the reason to be able to 'update pricing'?

Thanks-
Todd

Hi Todd,

Yes - you're right - this should be updating the pricing. Interesting, it appears that this has not been working for 4 years and you are the first to have noticed!

We'll try and get this fixed in the next service pack to OrderEntry.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
