The help file for Sales CQ refers to the Transfer button on the Prospect list or while editing a Prospect. I find no transfer button in either place.

I reinstalled Sales CQ. DIC is clean. I tried creating a quote for the prospect, then making the quote an order. It could then transfer the prospect to the customer at the same time, but only with the same customer code.

This should create some great business for AIM!

Hi Kate,

The Transfer button is not shown if the security setting prevents the logged in user from transfering prospects to customers.

Check the security settings for the group.

And if you want to create a new customer but use a different code, don't click the 'transfer customer to prospect' checkbox. Instead, you will get a screen similar to creating customers on the fly and you can use a different code.

Indeed the transfer checkbox above is easier to use, but if you don't like the limitation of using the same code, there is another way.

Silly me. I assumed that the SYS user would automatically be granted full rights.

Actually, it was in the inquiry group, though I am not sure why. Since no groups were set up, it seemed to have inherited rights from Adagio Contacts.

The Quote Entry Template options affect the SYS user and also all users if Security is not used at all (no security groups). If at least one security Group is defined, then these options only affect SYS. This is how Adagio OE also works.

As your situation was with no security groups, the Quote Entry Template happens to control the settings.
