A lot of reports are freezing when being printed. The printer has been changed and the same thing happens. Running Adagio with all the latest service packs. Windows XP2002 SP3. This happens at all workstations.

In the event viewer under system the following message appear:

The document Seagate Crystal Reports - Adagi owned by User failed to print on printer Lexmark E220. Data type: NT EMF 1.008. Size of the spool file in bytes: 0. Number of bytes printed: 0. Total number of pages in the document: 0. Number of pages printed: 0. Client machine: \\USER-00001. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 259 (0x103).

When you look at the printer spooler que the Crystal reports says it is spooling...and then the system locks up.

Also on all machines it is processing the reports extremely slow.

Hi Carol,

Does Print Preview also hang? If not, then the problem is the printer and how the print jobs spool. There may be some different settings required there, such as how quickly a print job times out - many reports take a little time to generate work files and the actual print job.

Yes, it does hang on preview and other stations are getting external exception errors C0000006.

We changed the printer and it happend with that one as well.

It's a printer problem. Can you print from anything else? Have you checked that current device driv ers are installed? Is this at the site getting the new server? Can you print a form to the new printer (rather than a report)? How about a financial statment (these all use different print engines)?

The Network card was updated on the server and this fixed the issues.
