I would like to display the telephone numbers as ()###-#### in the column editor views, which is how it appears on the customer record and reports if I have format telephone # selected in the company profile. Is there a way of doing this ?

Sorry, but the grid controls currently don't allow showing the phone and fax numbers in their 'formatted' presentation. Only the 'raw' phone and fax numbers are showable.

If you haven't used up all 3 of the Optional Text fields as definable in the Company Profile, you could use one of them to store the 'formatted' phone number for the purpose of displaying on customer grids and GridView views. You could export all the phone numbers (along with customer numbers) to an Excel spreadsheet, change the phone numbers in Excel to have the ( ) - characters, then import these values to the Optional Text field of your choice.
