Could someone help me with a problem I have while printing the cheque. After about 25 cheques, the date on my cheque seems to fall out the cheque. So when I do a cheque run I can only print 25 to 30 at the times which is really anoying. I allready try changing printer but it does the same thing.

How does the date "fall out of the cheque"? Do you mean that you can print 25 cheques with the cheque date perfectly in the correct place and then it drops down a line or more, or something else?

What is your environment? Payables version? Workstation operating system? Server operating system?

Second " Mar 28 2008
Third " Mar 28 2008
and slowly up to we cannot see the date on the cheque

Hi Lilian:

We encountered a problem this week with a cheque date. Your situation appears a little different but I'll describe the problem and the solution to see if it helps.

Our client was using the CPA-compliant cheque layout provided with Adagio. The date was in the correct place for the first cheque but would start to move left with each subsequent cheque. Nothing else moved. They could only print about 20 at a time. We were able to duplicate the symptom in our offices.

The solution was that we edited the cheque layout, deleted the existing date field(s) and inserted a new date field. We then formatted it to have the correct CPA format. This corrected the problem and the date now prints correctly.

Further to this, you may be able to fix this by editing the check specification and the Properties of the date field. If the 'auto-size' option is selected, then remove the selection and save. I've duplicated the date field moving slightly to the left after each subsequent check in the run, and disabling this option caused the date to print correctly.

This may have fixed Bruce's situation because their default was to add new fields without the auto-size option enabled.
