We just installed the GL9.0A 2008.04.02 service pack. I read the readme file and see the addition of the Show Fields option. Is there a way to make the print options window default to "none" as opposed to "units" in the show fields box? I didn't see anything in report options....

When we try to run the report with units checked we get the following error:

Error 120: Lookup item not found::Formulas.Name:=StartPeriod.

Thanks,
Lulu

Hello Lulu,

In the Company Profile, turn on ‘Remember report settings’. The next time you print the ‘Condensed’ Detail listing, this setting will be remembered. (You have to print the report; preview is not enough to trigger the save.)

The Error 120 is an indication that the program and the report tables are mismatched. In the QRASP directory on the report tables drive, the QRW files should be:
QRTALZ90.QRW 03/06/2008 04:28 PM
QRTALW90.QRW 03/19/2008 05:59 PM

Okay for the report settings. Good to know!

I had our IT dept check the above and both QRW files are as you referred to them above. Everything matches. Any other suggestions?

Hello Lulu,

Please make sure that they checked the Report tables drive QRASP and not the QRASP under the Softrak directory.

If the Report tables drive QRASP is correct then the next step is the report files themselves.

The Detail Listing files should be:
Allistc_mc_v2.rpt 03/06/2008 06:14 PM
Allistc_v2.rpt 03/06/2008 05:02 PM
Alliste_mc_v2.rpt 03/07/2008 12:05 PM
Alliste_v2.rpt 03/06/2008 05:02 PM
Allists_mc_v2.rpt 03/07/2008 12:06 PM
Allists_v2.rpt 03/06/2008 05:02 PM

This is what my IT dept responded with:

All those files match exactly as well.

There’s only one QRASP folder on our network, there isn’t one in the softrak folder.

All these report files he wanted checked are in J:/Softrak/Ledger/StardardRP, hopefully that’s the correct location. So far, everything checks out.

Hello Lulu,

Because you see the ‘Condensed’ report, I know that the program is correct.

However, there are 2 more possibilities:
1. The dictionaries are incorrect. In the Softrak\dict directory on your network, check these for these files and dates:
@L90AI.ssi 03/06/2008 04:28 PM
@L90AR.ssi 03/06/2008 04:28 PM

2. Check for a ModRP directory under Softrak\Ledger. If this folder exists, you are printing modified reports. If the listing is one of them, the modifications will need to be redone. Modified report files from older versions will not match the current report tables (QRW files). If the ModRP directory is there, rename it and try the detail listing again.

Just as a followup, there is another QRASP directory under Softrak\System. It is used by the CHKSYS program to ensure that the proper tables are installed. It is not used in report printing.

There was a ModRP directory. We renamed it and sure enough that took care of the problem! Thanks for your help.
