Every Adagio module has an 'Adagio' menu that lists all the other installed modules beneath it. I noticed that in our test environment, there was a line at the bottom of the menu list and below that line it listed Purplesoft POA.
That menu entry is missing in our live environment. Has anyone seen this before? Any harm in reinstalling POA on top of what's there? Any other suggestions on how to fix this?

The first question is does your live data use POA? Same folder and same data extension? If so, "Purchase Orders" should show on the menu list when the live company is open.

Is it the same for all Adagio modules in the live company?

I wouldn't reinstall POA at this point.

Yep. Same company (We only have a single company in Adagio.). Same path to the data files. Same data extension.

We can access POA by clicking on it's on shortcut on the Desktop or in the START menu - just not via the Adagio menu from within one of the other Adagio modules.

By the way, the Adagio menu within POA does show all the other Adagio modules and I can launch them from there - just not the other way around.

in your softrak\system folder there is a file called MENUS.ini

you should have a section near the bottom that looks like this:

[POA]
Developer=Purple
Name=Purchase Orders
Program=M:\Softrak\POWIN\IR.exe
Data=%d\irglob.%e
Parameters=/u%u /p%p /d%d /e%e /t%t
Hint=Launch Purchase Orders for Adagio.


Make sure that the "Program=" is pointing to the correct location. Or, if you are missing this section altogether, copy the above and paste it in, modifying the Program path.

That should solve your problem.

The section you described in the MENUS.INI is the only section in that file. My guess is this file adds 3rd party modules to the Adagio menu?

Anyway, I noticed the drive letter in the 'Program=' was wrong. For some unknown reason the drive letter used was 'Y:' instead of 'I:'. I changed the drive letter, saved the file, launched OE... and now I can launch POA from any other Adagio module.

The complete directions to adding EXE's to the Adagio menu can be found here. You can also launch Excel, Internet Explorer or any other program from within an Adagio module.
