I watched the webinar for Adagio 9.0 and there is a way to hide inactive accounts, but I forget how to do this.

There is a setting in the Column Editor for listing accounts in Adagio Ledger 9.0A to show 'Active records only'. This is available for the Edit Accounts screen and the Accounts finder (handled independantly). If this checkbox in the Column Editor is selected, then inactive accounts are hidden.

If you don't have access to the column editor, you can't change this setting (though it could be set for you).

Note that this is only incorporated in Ledger 9.0A and not yet for other applications (like Payables or Receivables) to hide inactive accounts.

Thank you for that. I gave myself column editor access, but when I went into the help feature there is a button to tick for Active Accounts right under the list of fields.

In my version 9.0A (080122) I do not have the option to tick Active Accounts.

I found the Active button under the Edit Accounts Menu, not by double clicking in the View Accounts box.

Hi Sue,

Correct, the option to hide is not available from View Accounts - we think you may want to see all accounts (where you can't edit them) so you don't forget that the account exists!

You also cannot hide inactive accounts on the SmartFinder, though you can use the Active flag as part of the search criteria.
