What changes are you trying to make? If you click on a specific statement in a group, then it will offer to open the statement (so that you can make changes to it). If you click on the group name, there are some other options (such as the fiscal period to use and continuous number printing).

I am trying to delete a statement out of the group and add a new statement in that group.

Open 'Statement Groups' from the View menu. Find the Statement group that contains the statement you want to remove. Right-click on the statement and choose 'Delete item'.

Have you opened the Financial Reporter using 'Print Financial Reports' instead of 'Maintain Financial Reports'? You cannot do any editing or deleting of items from the print-mode.

Have you logged into Adagio Ledger as a user other than SYS? We have recently clamped down on security, and users other than SYS cannot edit or delete items in Statement Groups.

Thanks for the info, my problems was that I was not logging in as SYS.
I now have used the duplicate funcation to duplicate the group and now would like to rename it as I can have one group printing on previous period and one group with current period. How can I rename it? Or is there an easier way to do what I am trying to do?

Thanks

Left click on the statement group name, and then press the F2 key.

Steve

PS to Softrak, I was also stymied by this mouse/keyboard combination. Why can't you make "Edit" a right-click option?

Hi Steve,

If you right mouse button on the group name, "Rename Group" is available on the context menu (along with the other menu choices for manipulating a statement group). Also, F2 is used everywhere in Adagio (and most places in Windows) to edit or change a name.
