We recently updated to win 2003 enterprise & the user options set like printer are not staying specific to the user & being adopted on a global basis. What do I need to change in the setup?

Hi Bruce,

The File/Options for settings like default printers and toolbar buttons are saved in the Windows registry. If this information is not being saved, this likely means the user does not have the rights to write to the registry. If granting rights to the registry is not desired, you should at least grant rights to the Softrak Systems portions of the registry within HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, using regedt32 instead of regedit.

further thought the info is being saved because as we move from user to user they have the most recent printer chosen or what ever was changed. The individual can change things but it effects everyone. Is this the registry access problem?

If one user changes an Adagio Option setting and this change is then made for all users, that is because the users are sharing the same registry settings. Or, if it is you (or some senior person) that makes a change which is then applicable to all users the likley cause is that there is a master registry setting that is replicated to all users.
