We have a few alternate price lists. With the multi currency & alternates working properly now (going to the default) we tried to clean up our data. I exported from the alternate price list the items that I needed. Saved that file. Made new template to import. Then went to alternate price list codes & deleted the one that I wanted. This deleted all items as planned. I then made a new alternate price list code using the exact same name & imported the saved items. This worked perfect. Tested the customers & all works as it should, defaults to base or picks up the alternate item if available. Good so far.
Now we go to edit alternate price list items and they do not show up. The other price lists display their items but not the imported one. We have not done a dayend yet. We tested by doing an export of that particular alternate price list & all items exported just fine.

My guess would be that the index did not get rebuilt during import. An IC Data Integrity Check with Rebuild (if an error is found) should rebuild the index.

we have done integrity checks & all is fine. Price list does not show up in Alternates. When you export items from alternate price lists the group does not show. When you invoice it picks up the right price.

I could not duplicate the behaviour that you described - when I delete a price list code (to remove all the alternate price list items), then re-create the price list code and import, I am able to see all of the imported records on the Edit Alternate Price List Item grid.

- Can I confirm that you are using Multi-currency and the database is enabled as such. You posted this initially but I want to make sure.

- Do you use Inventory, or is this importing directly into Adagio Order Entry (without IC)?

- After importing, you could use GridView to look at the Alternate Price List file to make sure the records are there.

we re did the process & everything works now. I have no idea why it didn't the first time. We did three data bases without a hitch. Go figure????
