A recent Microsoft Security update MS05-026 addressed a scenario involving HTML code. However, this has the inadvertant side effect of not allowing access to CHM (compressed HTML-style help files) stored on a network drive. Access to the same file is not prevented when saved on a local hard drive.

Newer versions of Adagio applications, such as DataCare and JobCost, use CHM-style format for their help files. So if you receive a 'Page Cannot be Displayed' or 'Action Cancelled' error when attempting to access Help from Adagio, the reason is that this MS Security Update has been installed.

The easiest workaround is to copy the 'xxWIN.CHM' help file locally and access it there. There are other workarounds available but they may compromise the security that the Security Update was intending to address.
