In Inventory (Item Inquiry With Cost And Sales), under the "Sales History" tab, I have noticed thatthere is "Actual Cost" with no quantity associated with it. I have found that these "Actual Costs" are associated with Assemblies in which these items were components.

In other words, the cost for an Item Assembly is beieng recorded as a cost for a sale with no quantity.

Yes, you're right that the cost is being updated in the Sales History file when it shouldn't. A positive cost is being written to the component item, and a negative cost to the master item.

The problem is much worse than i originally thought. On the Sales history report I have entire categories with large negative costs, and others that imply I am selling at a significant loss. Neither of which is true. I believe that the problem is in assemblies though. The costs for all assemblies are being recorded as costs of sales. The component recieves a cost of sale, and the master recieves a negative cost of sale.

Is this a known problem? How do I correct it?

Yes, this issue has been addressed. About 3/4 of the way down the list of enhancements and fixes for Adagio Inventory 8.0A (found in the Readme Help) is this item:
