I just created a really interesting problem.

I tried to add an optional field to the container in the list of invoices within a batch.

The error message is "Internal error:field [51] of [@i65ainv] is not a currency or number field"

There is an OK button but it just pops the same message again. Same result with trying to close or escape. When I shut down the program with Task manager and restart, as any user, with editing of container allowed or not, trying to open the same container gives the same message.
Program file QIWIN.INI has changed so I am going to try re-installing.

Hello Kate,

The optional field can be defined as different types of data. If you have added the field to a column editor, you have to be really careful to select the matching field type. Before you reinstall, I have another suggestion.

Edit the QIWIN.INI file using a text editor and remove your modifications to grids. For example, you may have a section for, [grdInvoiceList]. Remove the entire section. Now try editing your batch again.

How does one select the matching field type?

Hi Kate,

If you are using a Header Optional field, you only have one field to choose from. For a detail optional field, there is a field for each type.

Unfortunately, you can not add a Header Optional field to the column editor. I have forwarded this issue to R&D for further investigation.

Hello Kate,

There is another section of H fields that you can use. In the column editor, scroll past the D fields, I fields, and T fields, and you will find fields for:
H - Opt 1 Amt
H - Opt 1 Units
H - Opt 1 Text
H - Opt 1 Date

Use one of these fields instead of this one:
H - Opt Field 1
