I am running Windows 2000, Adagio Payables 6.8A Version 020618. I am doing year end maintenance and when I go to print the posting journal (invoice, manual cheques or adjustments) I receive the message:

Error:524 Print job busy
ClosePrintJob (PEClosePrintJob>.

I do not have any print jobs open. Any ideas?

Hi Ken,

Are you printing the reports to a file or to the printer? Can you preview successfully? If you are printing to a file, there is a known Crystal problem printing to a text file on some Windows versions. This has been fixed with more recent Crystal files, and newer versions of Adagio Payables install these fixed files. The solution in this case is to install the latest upgrade for Adagio Payables; version 6.8B and release date 2003.10.17.

We have also addressed a couple of other issues with reports in Adagio Payables generating this particular error message, though not specifically with the posting journal reports. I still would recommend installing the upgrade.

The error message is somewhat generic (sort of like 'this program has performed an illegal operation') so it is not point to a particular problem. For the most part, the issue is that the print job (your journal report) could not be generated for some reason.
