I am trying to print AP cheque reconcilation posting journal to file and am getting Error rint Job Busy. I cannot close AP. I see from previous discussions this was an issue in Feb 02. Any resolutions?

Dear Vickie,

We have seen this error under certain environments. Can you please check the versions of the following two files?

Depending on what operating system you are running look in the \WINNT\CRYSTAL or appropriate \WINnn\CRYSTAL directory and check the file Properties, Versions of:

u2ddisk.dll
u2ftext.dll

Also please try printing to a file from another Adagio station and see if you get the same result.

In the next product release output to file will default to a Word format. We have had no reports of any such problems when using the Word format.

File U2ddisk.dll dated 6/21/99
File U2FText.dll dated 12/7/00

We can print different dataset to file from another workstation but get same error when trying to print report from same dataset.

Dear Vicki,

Your DLL files are the same version as mine and I get no error when I print the posting journal to a file. So we need to look further.

Have you checked the Data Integrity of the data within which you get the Error 524?
If not, please do an Integrity Check.

Does data for all ledgers (e.g. GL, AP etc.) reside in the same drive and directory?

I just restored data from backup. Ran data integrety and everything was fine. Attemped to print cheque reconcilation posting journal to file again and got same error 524. Yes, all data resides in same directory.

I have still not received a response to my printing to file problem re Cheque Reconciliation Posting Journals. I am now trying to close AR and cannot print any reports to file either. I am getting the following error message "access violation in module ntdll.dll write of address 0219DDDE." I definately do not want to print all posting journals in AR to paper. Please assist ASAP as I am trying to close off the books.

As an additional note, I have run a data integrety check and everything was fine. I also ran the CHKSYS.EXE to see if I was missing any necessary files and that was fine too. I have tried printing to file from other workstations and am getting the same error messages.

Dear Vicki,

You should be able to get past your error on printing to a file as follows.

In Control Panel, Printers you can set a printer to Print Offline. This will send output to a print queue which can be cleared out later. Send the posting journals to the (offline) printer and then set the printer back to normal printing (uncheck the Print Offline option).
