I have Adagio Payables 6.8. I have added Adagio Time & Billing and I want to integrate the two modules.

I HAVE turned on the Time & Billing Integration tab in the Payables Company Profile.

However, during Payables document entry, when I get to the New Invoice Detail screen, the Type Field does not appear and I have no way of choosing Time Billing.

What's going on and how can it be corrected.

Which version of Payables are you running? Check Help | About for the version and release date. The current version is Payables 68A (020618).

Payables will disable the Time&Billing interface if it does not find the data it expects to or if the Time&Billing interface was not installed.

Please double check that the Company profile option, Integrate with Time and Billing, is on.

You make reference to installing a Time&Billing interface. I don't remember doing that nor have I found any reference to such an installation in either the Payables or Time & Billing User Guide. Perhaps this is the problem.

I believe that you turned the option on. I want you to verify that the option is still turned on.

When Time&Billing was installed, there was an option to install the AP interface. You need to install the AP Interface to Time&Billing if you have Plus Payables. If there is an APASP directory, Adagio Payables checks it to see if the interface is installed. If you do not have an APASP directory, you do not need to install the interface.

To install the AP interface, reinstall Time&Billing. All batches must be posted, and all posting journals and check registers must be cleared.

I uninstalled Time & Billing.

I reinstalled Time & Billing (2002.06.17). While Time & Billing was being installed, I saw no option to install the AP interface. (I have an APASP directory.)

I reran the Payables PTF (2002.06.10).

I reran the Time & Billing PTF (2002.09.16).

I checked and make sure that the Time & Billing Integration option in the Payables "Company Profile".

Still, no dice. The "Type" field does not appear when I get to the "New Invoice Detail" screen.

Hello Eric,

The problem was related to an option set in Plus Payables. On the Integration page, Integrate with Time & Billing, Use TBR for DOS should be Use TBR for Windows.

There is no option to install the AP Interface if it is already installed.

That did it.

I was just reading through the posts and came across this one. I couldn't let it pass without comment.

I had a similar problem but I was already using TBR. I finally found the solution myself but it took a long time.

Somewhere in the documentation, this should be one of the points in the installation steps.

Yes, we've made a note to add this to our documentation. Having said that, this is only an issue at sites that are moving from our TBR DOS product. All this complication is in place to make sure that people don't corrupt their Accounts Payable data by posting from DOS when Adagio AP and T&B have been installed.

I'm glad it has all been sorted out.
