Hello Ken
This message has been reported only a couple of times and seems to only occur in cases where the main Adagio program(s) have been installed to the Server from the Server itself, rather from one of the stations. The other instance is when the station you are trying to do the workstation install on has a different path in it's registry for the report tables drive. This can occur if the drive mapping has changed since the original configuration.
The customary method is to use one of the stations (clients or peers) to install the main Adagio programs to the Server. This actually saves time by accomplishing two things:
1. It installs Adagio programs to the shared drive of the Server, and
2. It installs the necessary workstation files onto the local drive of the PC being used to install to the Server. This eliminates the need to perform the workstation setup (ALLWKST.exe) on this particular system.
The tables directory being referred to in your message (3rdparty\working) was only used for older (16bit) versions of Adagio and it's predescessors (QIWIN, QCWIN, CRWIN etc.) and some ACCPAC Options (Softline) Windows' applications. Current (6.8) versions of Adagio do not use this directory, and unless you have installed the older versions, it should not exist on your new Server.
The simplest thing you can do to work around this message is to install Invoices to the Server from one of the stations. This should resolve the problem on the other stations as well when you go to perform the ALLWKST.exe on them.
NOTE: Before performing the reinstall or the ALLWKST.exe, make sure you have granted the actual Users of those stations full ADMIN rights, otherwise Adagio reports may not print from those stations.
If this does not resolve the problem, then you can check the Windows registries on the stations having the problem to ensure the Report tables drive location is correct. Run Windows\Regedit.exe and look in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERS
Software
Softrak Systems
Quik Reports
System path =
The 'System Path =' should point to the drive that was designated as the Report Tables drive during the main install of the program.
Regards,
