Hi John,

This error is a pretty common one, but it's not immediately obvious what the problem is. There is a file in the \Windows directory called crw.ini, and this file contains a number of Quik Reports for Windows options. Also in here is a path to where the \QRASP directory can be located so that the program can use the proper tables and also the proper QRTABLES.ini file. This is indicated in the crw.ini file as 'Accpac Path = X'.

The easiest way to fix this is to open Quik Reports for Windows from that workstation and create a custom report. You won't actually have to save/create a report, but this procedure will get you to the screens you have to visit. After selecting accpac.ssi as the database selector, you will be at the Enter Company/Program for the report. From here, click the Edit Company button.

This window has some settings, such as setting up the location of the database (or multiple databases), and also the Accpac Path, which is the location of the Accpac program files. It is this setting that is not set up correctly. Choose the correct drive letter here, and make sure that the 'companies' are also set up correctly.

Save any changes, and you don't have to proceed any further. At this point, try opening your report and print or preview it. You may also have to run the Verify Database function with the opened report, should you experience any problems in printing existing reports. This would repoint the report to the proper database.

If other workstations have this problem, and they point to the network in the same way, then you can either follow the same steps as above on each workstation, or simply copy the crw.ini file from the working computer to the other computers.
