On Tuesday, June 26 (today) we will be sending letters and emails to all end users with Adagio Lanpaks announcing the implementation of an annual Plan on these modules. The cost of the annual coverage is $54 (CAD)/$48 (USD) per unit / per year (regardless of the original cost of the Lanpaks).

Each communication is customized for the client, referencing their lanpak count and Adagio Consultant Reseller. Once you receive your personalized letter or e-mail, please contact your Adagio Consultant to discuss your options.

You may prorate the plan where we know that all Upgrade Plans expire on a particular day. Proration commences effective October 1, 2007. A client with Upgrade Plans expiring in January 2008 will be offered 4 months of coverage for their Lanpaks.

Adagio V8.1 Lanpaks are required for multi-user access to all Adagio V8.1 modules. These versions will be shipping in the next couple of weeks. The V8.1 Lanpaks are available without charge, once you have told us your plans for your Lanpaks going forward.

Adagio Ledger V9.0 will ship in November 2007. It (and only it for the time being) will require V9.0 Lanpaks which will ship at the same time. V9.0 Lanpaks will work with all earlier versions of Adagio. V8.1 Lanpaks will not work with V9.0 products (although the V8.1 Lanpaks will continue to work with all modules V6.8 to V8.1).

You will have until July 31st, 2007 to claim your free V8.1 Lanpaks. If you are currently considering purchasing Adagio, and have a quote in hand from your reseller, contact them to see how this change in policy affects your pricing.

Please post any further questions about this upgrade here, after reading the details on the Lanpak Upgrade page.

The e-mails and letters announcing the new Lanpak Annual Plans were all sent yesterday. Many have already responded.

Despite the careful proofreading that the letters and e-mails were subjected to, we have noticed a minor problem with some that were sent. This involved the offer to prorate the lanpak fee to synchronize with the expiration of all the plans.

For users with all their Upgrade Plans expiring on a single day, the body text and options in the communication are correct.

For users with Upgrade Plans expiring on different dates, the body of the communication makes the offer to synchronize all the plans, but this must be done in communication with Softrak's Customer Service Department. Unfortunately, under "Choice of Plan", the incorrect proration amount was not suppressed as it should have been.

Sorry for any confusion this causes.
