I have a data set that was working well with General Ledger, Payables, and Paydirt. The General Ledger was retrieving batches with no problems from Paydirt and Payables.

I added JobCost. It is working fine with Payables and General Ledger.

I am now trying to make Paydirt work with JobCost. Everything looks fine inside Paydirt, and I can retrieve Paydirt batches into JobCost.

THE PROBLEM IS that I am unable to retrieve posted batches into General Ledger. I get the error message "The home currency of Paydirt Payroll V1 does not match the home currency of General Ledger. This batch cannot be retrieved." This is the G/L portion of the exact same batch that just retrieved into JobCost with no problems - the job cost has gone into JobCost fine, but I can't get the bank, source deductions, etc. into the ledger!

My home currencies are all set to "DOS", and I am working with all of these files on the same computer without changing regional settings or otherwise messing with my system defaults.

I had dinner with several people familiar with PayDirt (including the developer). They suggested that you make sure that the company setting are set to interface to "Adagio", not ACCPAC Plus, as this was a common symptom of an incorrect setting.

I'm suring that we can fix the batch to make it importable, although that might constitute a database repair. I'm on the road at the moment. I'll bring the post to someone's attention in the office.

I just double-checked my interface settings in Paydirt. They are:
G/L Interface: Adagio 8+, currency code DOS
Chq rec interface: Adagio A/P 8.0+
Jobcost interface: Adagio J/C 6.8B+

I do want to figure out why the interface has stopped working, but I don't need to made this particular batch importable, as this is a test workarea.

Have you checked the currency code setting within PayDirt? (Setup / Company Settings / Accounting / General ledger interface)? It needs to be identical to the code in Adagio Ledger (Edit / Company Profile) and should be typed in upper case.

Sometimes users, thinking they are doing something helpful, change this.

The only time the currency code field in PayDirt is read is when creating the G/L export batch. So, you can regenerate the transaction batch from the posted batches after changing the code, if you delete the old batch first. At the moment I cannot locate my notes with the file name.
