I have a client that currently has a server with Windows 2000. They are looking at changing their server to a XP Professional workgroup rather than a domain server. They are running Adagio GL, AR, AP, IC, OE, and Job Cost. Will performance be slower? And are there issues that they may have?

I see this network configuration as being appropriate for small databases (typically just GL, AR, & AP) with less than 4 users.

Always use a separate box as a data server, don't use one as both a data server and a workstation.
