Hi Roy,
As you have found, there are 2 files that Adagio creates in the data directory that control pathing. EZCOMFIL.ld4 contains the path to the EZTASKS.LD4 file which controls file locking, among other things. EZCURFIL.LD4 contains the path to the currency files MC*.ld4.
Typically, Accpac Plus is installed on the root of a drive, whether on a local drive or a network drive. That would mean that the text within both the EZCOMFIL and EZCURFIL files would be X:\asp, where X is the drive. Adagio also installs EZTASKS and currency files to the X:\softrak\system directory, which means that if you are running Adagio only, without Accpac Plus, you can put the above path into EZCOMFIL and EZCURFIL. Of course, you would have to edit the currency codes to match your company's configuration.
From your message, it sounds like you put N:\Program files\accpac\asp into EZCOMFIL and EZCURFIL. This should be acceptable to allow Adagio to run with getting the 1207 error, but if not, please repost here that this is what you ran into (so we can do some testing).
Also from your message, you mentioned that N is a substituted drive. This makes things a little trickier as the possibility exists that workstations can see the data using different drive letters. IE one station would see the data as D drive, and another as N drive. Since you can't enter both drive letters in EZCOMFIL, there is a conflict that can't be avoided. Sometimes this can be worked around by removing the drive letter and colon, leaving \program files\accpac\asp as the path in EZCOMFIL and EZCURFIL.
The problem may be related to the space character contained in 'program files'. Something else to try is have the text in the EZCOMFIL and EZCURFIL files be 'R:\asp', since R is equal to n:\Program files\accpac. All computers must see the data drive as R: for this to work.
The login is controlled by the file EZUSRFIL.ld4, which also usually resides in the ...\asp directory. If you want to recreate this file (ie delete all users and refresh the info), you can rename it, and when you open an Adagio module, use SYS for both the user name and password, and that should get you in as the System Admin login.
Sorry for being verbose, but hopefully this gives you a few ideas to try.
Regards,
Softrak Support
