I am currently in the processing of testing Customer Export/Changes/Import. Same fields are exported correctly then imported incorrectly: Cust Numb, Name, Contact, Tax Group, Stmt Contact Email, Stmt Email, Inv Email.

The Export works correctly to Excel. The import has problems. The "Contact Email" and "Stmt Email" are set to size 160 in Adagio. The Adagio size of "Inv Email" is 30. In all cases, the import is using the size of the field in Excel not the size specified in Adagio.

Example if the size is set to 160, but in Excel the field width is 40 (display size, the field contents are actually larger than 40), then only 40 characters are imported. This caused me problems because I expected the controls to be in Adagio. There are many times in character fields that I don't display the entire field on the screen so that I can see more fields.

This is a known issue when importing directly from Excel. There are two possible solutions.

1) Before you save the spreadsheet, highlight the whole sheet and autofit all the columns so that everything is visible.

2) Save the sheet as a CSV file after making changes and import that files instead of the Excel spreadsheet.
