I created Ageing in Crystal Reports to run in AR. The reports do not run, when you select the report in AR under CustomReports you get the print dialog box. If you click on Print the scren blinks and the dialog disappears and nothing. If you click on Preview the screen blinks and the dialog is still on the screen, no output.

Please help.

Presumably the report prints fine from within Crystal?

If you are going to add the report as a custom report on Receivables, I believe you cannot use any features that are specific to the V8.5 release of Crystal. This would include alerts.

Out of curiosity, what does your custom report do that the standard aging report does not?

All reports that print out of Adagio use the version 7.0 Crystal print engine. This includes the 'Custom Reports'. But you created a report using Crystal Reports for Adagio 8.5. what this means is that you can do a report that works just fine in the Crystal designer program, yet because there is at least one '8.0' feature in the report, the older print engine doesn't know what to do with that feature. Thus the reason for the 'screen flash' when attempting to print the report via the Custom Reports menu.

At the current time, there isn't anything I can guarantee to make the report run 'as is'. Essentially the solution is to remove whatever the '8.0' features are in the report, and that can be difficult to determine. The best I can offer is to try re-opening the report in the Crystal designer program and attempt to save the report as a Crystal 7.0 version report. Do this from the File / Save As menu, and choose the File Type of version 7.0.

The report calculates the ageing differently and we need to go as far as 120 days.

This is an abolute need report. How can I get the 7.0 crystal reports?

Now that I know there incompitabilities with AR. I started working with a sample report that works and am modifying it keeping track of what changes I make and testing it along the way. I am sure I can take care of it now.

OK - but I'd still be interested in seeing the RPT. I'm very curious as to why the standard aging or overdue receivables reports do not work for you. They have many options, and certainly would age over 120 days if you wanted.
