It appears that the wrong year end was brought forward last year. I am now at the end of the next year. Is there a way to archive all of the years postings, bring forward the correct yearend and then post the years postings to the new corrected year?

I don't know quite what you mean by "wrong year end". Do you mean that the opening balances on the balance sheet accounts is wrong?

You can adjust the opening balances on an account by doing a "Prior Year Posting" of an adjustment batch. Wouldn't that be easier?
