My ledger couldn't work suddenly as poping up the error note as
'Error Internal Error;field number is out the range. Occured when attempting to read next record in accounts'

I didn't change any accounts recently. Please advice how can fix the problem?

Hello activehardwood,

You recently re-installed Adagio as a result of a virus infection. It is likely that Ledger was not installed properly on one of the workstations, or all the service packs were not properly applied. Make sure that all your workstations are running the same version of Ledger from the same location on your network. Run \SOFTRAKI\SYSTEM\CHKSYS.EXE to make sure that the modules were installed correctly and that the Opportunistic Locking settings are correct.

Sorry, but unless you are on Combined Support Plan there is no guaranteed response time on this forum. For issues such as you have experienced over the last week, you would be well advised to retain the services of an experienced Adagio partner.

An error message 'Internal Error. Field is out of range' is typically an incorrect dictionary file. These dictionaries are installed to the \softrak\dict directory. You can focus your energies here.

Thank you very much. I was trying to focus on \softrak\dict directory. As a result of my focus things didn't change at all.

Is there any way you can help my focus by suggesting how can I reinstall/rebuild those files?

\SOFTRAKI\SYSTEM\CHKSYS.EXE - showed no issues with AL

I would really appreciate if you give me few options to try.( if there is such available)

Thanks,

Adagio Ledger dictionaries in the \softrak\dict directory start with the characters @L. Perhaps try removing all of these files (not deleting, just in case) and reinstall Ledger. A possible problem is that the dictionary files have an invalid file date, and installing an upgrade is not able to put in the correct files.

If you are running the current version of Adagio Ledger 80D, the files are @L80AI.SSI (date May 8, 2006) and @L80AR (date May 9, 2006).

If your dictionaries are OK, then perhaps your data fails an integrity check?

When do you get the error? On opening the data, editing an account, creating a batch entry, printing a report, or otherwise?
