Hi Andreas,

An error message that contains something like 'field number is out of range' typically has to do with a mismatch between the data and the dictionary used for reading the data.

If you look in the \softrak\dict directory, you can find the Adagio Payables 8.0A dictionary files @P80AI.SSI and @P80AR.SSI. They should both have a file date of Apr 10, 2006. If they do not then you may want rename what you have and re-install Adagio Payables.

Have you installed any other upgrades apart from Receivables?

The problem could have happened if you installed an update for Adagio OLEDB, as this put in an incorrect Adagio Payables dictionary. If this was the case for you, you can either re-download the OLEDB upgrade or contact Softrak for a new set of fixed AP dictionaries that will address this problem.

For some reason we cannot print standard detail transactions.

Any ideas?

Are you refering to the Vendor transaction Listing? Run \SOFTRAK\SYSTEM\CHKSYS.EXE and post what it reports.

Hi JK,

We need to know which report you are referring to (specifically). There are several Payables reports that show transactions. Also, can you preview it? Can you print the report from the sample data?

Hi Andrew and thanks for getting back to us.

The report is: Reports/Transaction and Analysis Reports/Vendor Transactions

The reports works fine for the other companies that we maintain.

We just ran a data integrity check and got ?Application integrity skipped due to errors in File Integrity? The last integrity check was Dec 4.

Any idea as to what could have caused this problem and more importantly, how to resolve the issue?

With thanks as usual and,

Cheers, JK!

OK - it appears to be data related.

How about making a backup of your data, running the integrity check and selecting Rebuild and then running the integrity check again.

You should make a note to check out anything that is "fixed" during the rebuild process.

Hi JK:

At this point your choices are:

1) Rebuild: After you are told that the Integrity Check fails, you will see a "Rebuild" button available on that screen. It will try to repair the damaged data. If it completes successfully, immediately run Data Integrity Check again then check the key reports. NOTE: YOU MUST BACKUP YOUR DATA BEFORE RUNNING A REBUILD.

2) Restore: Using your backups, restore the most recent good dataset. Copy then delete the current files first. Then re-enter any entries made since then. If you are uncertain which files to restore, talk with your Adagio reseller.

3) Data Repair: Send your data to Softrak. They can fix the data. This is a billable service.
