The performance of ACCPAC was slower becasue the record locking was actually working correctly.
In ACCPAC Plus, if only noe person was in the data at one time, there was limited chance of corruption of the data because the DOS program could not perform more than one function at a time.
In Adagio, being a Windows-based program, multiple windows can be open at once, so the chances of data corruption are much higher if op locks are enabled.
It is such an issue that Adagio modules check for it every time you start a module.
(By the way, almost all database programs have encountered the same issue.
