Hello Debbie,

If the initial bytes of the SRTRANS file is corrupt, you have damaged data. This is what is causing the other errors.

At this point, your best bet is to restore a backup. If you do not have a current backup without the errors, a database repair may be able to salvage the data (or some of it). To contact the Database Repair department at Softrak, email to Carleeng@softrak.com.

If you have a reasonably current backup and you are keeping history in OE/Adagio Invoices/Quik Invoice, you may be able to scan the missing information into Sales Analysis. To do this, in SR choose, 3. Maintain Sales Analysis Data, 1. Retrieve Sales Data, 4. Scan Sales Data from Other Systems.

Hi Debbie,

This kind of damage is not the result of operator error unless someone accidentally shut off the computer while files were being updated.

It is the result of an interruption in processing. The most common causes are a power fluctuation (outage, surge or brownout), the server went down, or there was a hardware problem (faulty or loose cables, some network cards, etc.).
