Dear Sonic

This message indicates that QCWIN is having a problem locating the files necessary to complete this task. Usually, rebooting your workstation will clear this up. If not, perhaps the following information & suggestion would be helpful:

1.Basically, QCWIN will attempt to automatically select the locations of the currency and EZTasks files for you. By default, QCWIN selects the HIGHEST network drive containing an \ASP directory. If an \ASP directory is NOT found, on any drive, \SOFTRAK\SYSTEM will be the default. IF YOU HAVE ACCPAC PLUS or QI*WIN programs INSTALLED ON MORE THAN ONE NETWORK DRIVE, YOU MUST MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT DRIVE.

2.The currency path MUST contain files called MCCODES.LD4 and MCDEF.LD4. If you are running ACCPAC Plus, those files are usually located in your \ASP directory. For example, if ACCPAC Plus is installed on your hard drive, you would generally find those files in C:\ASP.

3.If you are using ACCPAC Plus, QCWIN and ACCPAC Plus modules should have the same currency path, if you are using ACCPAC Plus GL and want a subledger batch created after posting check batches in QCWIN.

4.If you attempt to select a path in which the above-mentioned files are NOT found, you will get an error message. Select the path again using the browse button.

5. If the wrong paths are chosen, you can remove or rename the files EZCURFIL.LD4 and EZCOMFIL.LD4 from your data directory. Start QCWIN again and open the database. The EZFile Directories dialog will be displayed. Enter the correct paths when prompted, based on the information described above.

You may be missing one or more dictionary files in the \3rdparty\working directory on the drive where the programs are installed, or a workstation cannot access this directory properly. In this case, you would either have to re-install the program or verify that all workstations have full read-write access to this directory.

Hope this helps.
