The DCLIST.ld4 file is created at the time of the check data process. If you remove this file, DC will recreate it at this time. Normally, it sits at 0 bytes in size.

The fact that DataCare is now complaining about not being able to create it sounds like either the file attributes have changed (ie have become not shareable), or the workstation that is trying to run the check does not have rights to create/use files on this drive.

As you can see from the error message, the DCLIST.ld4 file is stored in the DCASP directory, which means that it is a program file. It is written to everytime a data integrity check is run (the full check, not just a single entry check).

Has there been any other upgrades installed for either the System Manager or network service packs? If it has been working for some time, then something else must have changed or be different to get this error.

In my limited testing, it appears that the paths that are being written to the DCLIST file are those that DataCare found errors for. It will not write a path for every data set checked.

Can I assume that the settings change for Max number of errors addressed your issue, or is there anything else you were still working on?
