We haven't seen this particular error before. Could you provide a little more information about the setup and procedures?

Are you using the buttons to keep track of the time, or doing timesheet entry without the buttons?
How are the files/dockets set up to determine the rate level - source/staff/staff class?
Also, what is the 'rate application' on the file/docket?
What is the default rate level set up on the file/docket, and do you ever over-ride it?
Does the user have the ability to see their bill-out rates (set in the TimeKeeper setup by SYS)?

It's not possible to select a blank rate type on a TimeKeeper button, but it does appear possible to delete it. If you can provide some information - we can attempt to duplicate the situation and investigate what's happening.
