Is there a way to delete a closed bank account from cashbooks without having to reinstall?

Hi Lisa

Yes, there is, however if you are not comfortable with manipulating data files using DOS or Windows' Explorer you should have someone that is more familiar with file management perform these procedures for you.

Make sure you have a good backup of your data files & if not, make one. To remove the unwanted banks from Cashbook, go to the directory where your ACCPAC Plus data files are and carefully remove the files that match the bank code you no longer use.

For example, if the CB bank is "01", then the files will have the format: cb01xxxx.ddd, where xxxx represents the rest of the file name, and ddd represents your 3-character data file extension.

There should be several files (approximately 30 files, give or take a couple, depending on the type of information currently in this CB Bank), but they will all have the format described above.

Hope this helps!
