Good afternoon,

I'm trying to add a header field to an A/P import CSV file.
The format I've used is:

\\S:Accounting\HPR\Accounts Payable\25999.169 Folio.pdf

The last description is the actual PDF I'm trying to import. Everything looks ok to me, but i'm getting an error message. Is anyone familiar with this field?

thanks very much!

Hello Holiday,

For the Hdr-Attach PDF field, try renaming your attachment so that there isn’t an extra period or a blank space in the attachment name.

A dash or an underscore will work.

I didn't think of that!
Thanks very much, I'll try it.

Unfortunately, that didn't work. I've shortened the file path in order to test the load file, but it's still giving me an error.

When I click on the link in my load file, it takes me to the PDF, but still get "Invalid data 'file://S:Accounting/25999_169_Folio.pdf' for field called 'Hdr-Attach PDF' of record 1. when I try to import to A/P.

Hello Holiday,

The only time I get the error that you are getting is when the path really was invalid. I was successful using a mapped drive letter in the path as well as a UNC.

The path in the error message looks odd to me with "file:\\" What do you have in the file path? I have:
"\\STSINC\TECH\SOFTRAK\DATA\SAMDATA\Scans\AttachToExistingEntries\AdagioScan-20170428103651.PDF"

Which is also known as:
"L:\SOFTRAK\DATA\SAMDATA\Scans\AttachToExistingEntries\AdagioScan-20170428103651.PDF"

I had no problem importing documents with spaces and dashes in the filename as long as I had the rest of the path right.

I've eliminated the 'file://' portion of the path, and the import completed, but now with an error: Copying Storage file to destination failed (11104) during call to ADocFilerCreateW

Hello Holiday,

The error message means that Payables failed to copy the file into DocStorage.

Where is the file located? Is "S:" a Local workstation, on the Network or a website?

Please post a sample Header record showing the import path currently in the file.

Hello,

S drive is on the network; this is the header line of the import file I'm working with. It has worked for importing with the exception of the attachment record.

Hello Holiday,

I have another suggestion for you. In your path, you are using a forward slash. In some places, it is interchangeable with a back slash but this isn't one of them.

Please change:
S:/Accounting/25999_169_Folio.PDF

To:
S:\Accounting/25999_169_Folio.PDF

The "Copying to storage..." error indicates a problem with DocStore - not the import. Run a DIC on DocStore.

Hi again,

Just tried using a back slash in the second location as well, and it worked!

Thanks very much for your help on this.

Hi Support:

I have a similar issue in GL. The path to the data is created by GV with multiple forward slashes "/" instead of "\". Unfortunately, the import gives me the same error message with trying to import using the "/". I tested it changing it manually in the import file and it works. Is there any setting that tells Adagio to use one or the other?

Hello Patricia,

No, there is no setting in Adagio or Gridview that controls whether the path has back or forward slashes.
