Job Close Posting Journal prints all the Closed Jobs. Therefore, you need to enable the Posting Journal Purge to be able to purge this Closed Jobs PJ or they print each time a job is closed.

Hopefully the next version will have a PJ sequence so it can select only the last sequence to print.

I will write up a request for the Job Close Posting Journal to have a structure change to support specific posting sequences for printing and/or purging.

Would be be fair to assume that you are requesting a change not only for the Job Close journal but any/all of the other posting journals or audit lists not related to batches, such as the Revenue and Expense posting journal or the Job Estimates Audit List?

Yes, please any other audit report. Or remove the prompt to purge the posting journals so any other audit reports can be purged so they don't keep accumulating info.
