A NAS device is not a server. You can use it for the database but then you need to install to the workstation.
Multi-users, just installing to each workstation will leave you with unresolved multi-user record locking issues. For this reason, I do not recommend using a NAS device.

Thanks Doug for your information. Learn something new everyday. Not familiar with this device. Saw the mapped drives on it and figured we were good to know. Lesson learned.
